Breaking the news

bghsmithSo yesterday I finally caught my mom without my dad and told her about my nipple piercings. I wasn't sure if she could handle it, I KNOW that he couldn't. I had to ponder it because she would find out eventually. He can stay in blissful ignorance his whole life he wants to chooses to.
I tried to break it to her gently, but she is nosy as they come. When I told her she said "You can't tell me that it didn't hurt!"
"No, it was more of a shock." I explained
She made various noises of disbelief then suddenly she grabbed her boobs, shuddered and went 'Eek!'.
"Yes! That's was it!" I told her, happy that she understood. "That was it exactly!"
Curiosity satisfied, she quickly changed the subject.
Who would think at 38 I will still be having this kind of conversation with my mom? It's funny because she didn't even want to know why. I'm sure once the shock has worn off and she has had time to ponder, she will ask. I wonder if she will tell Steve? Frankly, I think he is still in denial about The Hubby's vasectomy.
In other news, The Hubby has decided that once he gets the All Clear, we are going on a mini-honeymoon getaway. He's been checking out B&B's that have jacuzzi/hot tubs. He found a nice place in Excelsior Springs where we can get a 2 room suite. He is planning on having sex all over the place!
